614 pages. Text in Dutch. Assortment of scarce folding maps found only in this publication throughout. One is most unusual, printed on a thin translucent onion-skin type paper which is likely to be Indonesian or Asiatic in origin. Folding diagrams. Approx. 9 folding plates total plus photographic frontis. 

Profusion of articles, many quite detailed and specific on a wide range of military topics. These include (but not limited to) Russo-Japanese War, armaments, troop movements involving infantry, military cartography, South African war, gymnastics, on and on. Simply too many to detail, many with elusive title meanings.

Period 1/2 cloth binding, paper title label on spine, marbled covers. Likely an Indonesian binding as opposed to western European. Binding remains clean, tight, and sound, hand marbled covered boards still well attached. Interior contents square and tight, clean, displaying a pleasing age patina. 

Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
