Rare work on thermal baths (hot springs).

Interesting association copy- Author inscribed twice to C. Lea of Philad., (one half the major publishing firm Blanchard & Lea (subsequently, Carey & Lea)). C. Lea then presented the book to his local Academy of Natural Sciences.

Publishers paper wrappers, deckled edges (untrimmed).

Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.

Binding gently age worn, spine well chipped at ends, remains overall attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently toned, light to moderate scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
