Issued 1799, Montrose by Ogilvy. An interesting and somewhat unusual publishing imprint, perhaps for a gazetteer. An ephemeral and elusive source and thus a scarce map.

Late 18th century engraved map with attractive hand color.

Remains a nice looking example with a pleasing age patina. Any age flaws mostly minor and easy to overlook or forgive.

Original fold lines as issued, slight old wrinkles lower right corner, edges slightly irregular as made.
