(Americana, Travel, Tourism, Keystone Automobile Club, Resorts, Hotels, Illustrated Guides, Books with Maps).
Hotel and Resort Directory.
Published 1933 by Keystone Automobile Club, Philadelphia.
72 pages, tall thin 8vo format, saddle stitched. Well illustrated, eight in-text strip road maps, photographic period advertising throughout including hotel buildings.
Publisher's Art Deco color lithographed pictorial paper wrappers, retains two leaves of perforated club cards on blue card stock a member could use to facilitate their respectful treatment. "We're no riff-raff Sir, please show us only your finest rooms. Here, this special little card should vouch for us."
Scarce ephemeral survival of an early automobile pictorial tourism item.
Brochure is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Paper covers gently soiled, rubbed and age worn, still remains overall clean and very attractive as an object.
Text block paper is gently toned, signs of handling, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. The fragile pamphlet displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this interesting vintage item survives.
