$ 39.95
The Man-Gull: Lathan in his Aeroplane Passing Above the Yacht "Mercedes II," near Nice

(Signs of Wealth, Monoplane Soaring Through the Skies, Early Aviation, Cruising Around the Mediterranean, Luxury)

Issued 1910, Harpers Weekly

A visually appealing antique halftone print.

It is an original pictorial sheet extracted from a 20th century illustrated popular periodical.

Offered for the outstanding modern appeal of the printed image as well as the historical interest of the topic and how it is presented.

In Good+ [or better] condition: displays uniform age toning and small minor age flaws as typical for paper sheets of this era. There may be light scattered spotting, small red mark and a institutional rubber stamp mark in the blank margin, slight crease down the center of the sheet, faint scattered staining, possibly small minor edge repairs on the back with small pieces of archival tape. Any defects along the sheet edges and in the blank margins may be seen in the photos.

Please examine the scan closely as the picture forms a central part of the description. There is a zoom feature so you can inspect the sheet close up.

There is text on the back because it was extracted from an illustrated periodical from the 20th century. Great fun to look at both sides.

Overall, the image area remains clean and very attractive- absolutely appropriate for framing and display.

[note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws].

**The type of wood-pulp paper used by the periodicals in this era is now somewhat delicate and needs to be handled carefully**

Great, unique old printed image entirely worthy of hanging for display or presenting to someone as a present.

Sheet measures c. 15 3/4" H x 10 3/8" W.

Printed area measures c. 10 1/2" H x 7 1/4" W
