Published 1906, New York by J.A. Mitchell.
704 pages. Text in English. Profusely illustrated throughout, thousands of line drawings, ads and illustrations of all sizes, themes and types. Abundant period advertising, the covers and rear ad leaves appear to all be present. A heavy assortment of color covers and rear ads throughout.
A consecutive weekly run from 6 Jan. 1906 (Number 1210)- 28 June (number 1235)- total of 26 issues. Extensive detailed index to all issues is at front.
Issues all neatly bound in a likely mid-20th century red cloth binding.
Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time.
Binding gently rubbed but still very clean and tight.
Text block paper is gently age toned as typical, internally book remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A book which has been taken care of but may/ does not look like new.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
Please review photos for more detailed attempt to present this book as it survives. A nice long run of issues which are individually scarce.
We often over-describe any flaws that many sellers would not even bother to mention since most people would overlook them as minor and unworthy of comment. Many people tell us the books they receive from us are nicer in person than it appears on the screen. We want you to be clear about what you are buying, so we take clear photos and try to describe it clearly.
Book Measures c. 11" H x 9" W.
A thick and very heavy volume.
