Life Magazine 1906.
Published 1906, New York by J.A. Mitchell.
c. 1300 pages. Text in English. 6 months of approx. 26 consecutive issues, bound with lovely color covers and some rear cover color ads. First issue is July 5th with a color cover by James Montgomery Flagg, last issue is Dec. 27th.
Profusely illustrated throughout, countless thousands of line drawings, ads and illustrations of all sizes, themes and types. Abundant period advertising. A pleasing assortment of ads and art work throughout. Splendid era of contents, a visual feast for modern eyes.
A consecutive weekly run of issues. Issues all neatly bound long ago in a plain cloth binding.
Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time.
Binding gently rubbed but still very clean and tight.
Text block paper is gently age toned as typical, one gather of several pages is detached from text block, internally book remains mostly clean, tight and sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
Please review photos for more detailed attempt to present this book as it survives. A nice run of issues which are individually scarce.
We often over-describe any flaws that many sellers would not even bother to mention since most people would overlook them as minor and unworthy of comment. Many people tell us the books they receive from us are nicer in person than it appears on the screen. We want you to be clear about what you are buying, so we take clear photos and try to describe it clearly.
Book Measures c. 11" H x 9" W.
A thick and very heavy volume.
