Published 1836, Philadelphia by the American Sunday School Union.
232 pages. Text in English. Engraved frontispiece. 

Period full leather binding, slightly raised bands, gilt compartment decorations and title lettering, embossed and gilt ruled cover decorations. All edges gilt. Some leaves slightly shaken and now protruding from text block. Interior contents display a heavy to moderate age spotting throughout.

Leather is rubbed and stained but still supple. Binding tight and firm.

Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
