Attractive antiquarian 1/4 leather binding, smooth spine, gilt bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting red leather labels, marbled covers & end papers.

Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Set is not new or in "new" condition.

Bindings age worn, spine leather is dried and crackled although still supple, mostly light minor signs of careful handling and time but nothing offensive or severe, set remains overall attractive on the shelf.

Paper is gently toned, still clean, tight, sound internally.

The set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in overall nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws which may be present appear to us easy to overlook or forgive.
