Louisiana Gulf of Mexico Southwestern District 1845 antique state Surveyor mapBrian DiMambro- Antiquarian Books, Maps & Prints
Map of the South Western District Louisiana. Surveyor General's Office. Donaldson, Oct. 29th, 1845.
(North America, United States, American South, Louisiana).
Issued 1845, Washington, D.C. by US Government for Sen Doc.
Early lithographed official topographical survey of this southern U.S. state. Bordering the Gulf of Mexico, with Sabine & Red Rivers shown, Atchafalaya at right.
Old paper, some wrinkling, one fold line broken and mended in the past with several small holes (easy to overlook), overall a nice looking example of an early LA survey map.
Sheet measures c. 11 3/4" x 17".
Engraved area measures c. 12" x 10 3/4".
