Charming mid-18th century engraved birds-eye view with lovely hand color. Engraved by Chedel.

Wonderful reduction down to a charming schematic rendering with the lake still clearly encompassing and playing a large physical role in the development of the city. Early fortified walls clearly visible as are numerous recognizable locations and features. Today the lake is mostly gone, subsumed by urban development.

Clean, near fine condition, original fold line, nice example. Among the earliest Western printed views of the city one can still hope to reasonably acquire.
