Charming little pair of early 19th century miniature aqautint prints with original hand color.
Both depict young women selling food related goods- milk & butter. Note how the butter woman carries a balance scale which the milk woman has a young male servant (son? for her husband?) and three large metal urns.
Depicts this particular type of street merchant who would have been found selling their wares on the streets of major cities in Europe, such as Paris.
Minor light toning, but overall clean, lovely examples.
Sheet measures c. 5 1/2" H x 3 1/8".
Printed area measures c. 4 7/8" x 2 1/2".
