Period 1/2 red leather binding, raised and gilt bands, stamped title, gilt lettered author and illustrator on contrasting black leather label, gilt decorated compartments, marbled end papers, top edge gilt.

Book remains well preserved and very attractive on the shelf. It displays a beautiful age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
