New England Pamphlets: 1707-1708. A Memorial of the Deplorable state of New-England [printed in the year MDCCVII (1707), Boston].
Published 1879, Boston.
erratic pagination. Text in English.
Fine late 19th century reprint of a great early Americana rarity which is all but unobtainable today.
Old 1/2 grained leather binding, raised & gilt bands, gilt title lettering.
Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding gently age worn but still nice and very appealing, leather slightly rubbed but still supple, tips of covers a bit worn down, remains overall clean and attractive as a 19th/ early 20th century hand made object.
Text block paper is gently toned, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
