Beautiful mid 17th century folio engraved map, with original hand color. Large decorative wine & cherub title cartouche at top right, armorial crests and cherub to top left, as well as a charming distance scale with cherubs holding a flag at bottom right.

Map itself displays a wonderful amount of detail, with many cities and place names, with the larger cities represented by tiny red plans.

In Good mostly clean condition. Centerfold split and inexpertly repaired on verso long ago, thin separation line noticable. Some light minor spotting and foxing, top & bottom edges worn with tiny chipping. Otherwise map remains clean and visually appealing.

Sheet measures c. 22 1/2" W x 19 1/4" H.
