Fine and uncommon late 18th century re-issue of the much earlier (c. 1706) de L'Isle map with full original hand color.
Fine 18th century folio map, with Moscow at top center, Lithuania, Ukraine & Poland along left side. Caspian Sea at bottom right corner. Distance scale at bottom left gives distances in Muscovite, German, & Polish miles.
Engraved area pleasing and clean, some wrinkling to bottom and top blank margins which will disappear once framed.

Sheet measures c. 26 1/4" W x 21 1/2" H
Printed area measures c. 21 1/2" W x 16" H.
Koeman, Atlantes Neerlandici , El 2 (21)- although this map has "23" penciled on back in an early hand, seeming to indicate a variant postion within the atlas than the one noted by Koeman- perhaps an unrecorded variant issue of the atlas?
