Scarce early 18th century antique engraved map relating to the War of Spanish Succession.
Tall mast ships shown engaged in naval warfare against the fortress at Ostend, Belgium. Key bottom right identifies various military features such as batteries, cavalry location, trenches, directions bombs were shot, etc.
In near VG or better condition, minor light surface age wear and toning as typical, some faint minor foxing in the blank margins, lower left blank margin trimmed right to neat line as issued (to facilitate folding), overall the scarce map is clean, well preserved and very attractive.
