Fine mid-19th century lithographed map with hand color.
Of note for the naming of the large and short-lived 'Orange Free Sovereignty" which only existed 1848-54. Inset top center only shows one large large south of the Equator within the eastern interior.
Paper and image remains clean and well preserved with a fine patina and visual appeal.
Sheet measures c. 17 1/4"H x 23"W.
Printed area measures c. 16 1/4"H x 22"W.
