Issued c. 1760-70, Amsterdam by de Leth & Baalde, S.J. for the scarce "Nieuwe Geographique en Historique Atlas pour l'Etude facile de la Geographie...".

Lovely original antique map of Switzerland. With original outline hand color.

In VG condition, minor age wear, some insignificant dusting or slight creasing, but overall clean and visually appealing example of this uncommon 18th century map. Original fold-line as issued by Baalde for the atlas.

A nice plate impression as well, the hand colors rather appealing. Nice cartouche with flags of the cantons.

While de Leth/ Baalde clearly have re-sued the Chiquet plate for this map, it displays noticable differences and is not identical.

Sheet measures c. 8" H x 10" W.

Engraved area measures c. 6 1/2" H x 8 1/2" W.
