(Old Periodicals, 20th Century Magazines, Toy Trains, Model Towns, Hobby Magazine, Arts & Crafts).

Toy Trains Magazine.
Published monthly, Silver Springs, Maryland by Penn Publishing.
4 issues. Each c. 50 pages. Text in English. Profusely illustrated throughout. Nice assortment of dated advertising as well, often illustrated.

Totally fun mid 19th century toy magazine with great period visual content. Issues contained in this lot: December 1951; January, March, April 1952. If you collect or are on any level interested in old trains and modeling, you will love these scarce vintage magazines!

Bindings show signs of age and handling, yet remain mostly clean, tight, and sound, nothing offensive or major. Overall each remains nice looking.

Small age flaws or defects include possible random old creasing, edge chipping, small light old staining, etc. Overall entirely acceptable examples of what are likely scarce survivals. The pictures give a very good sense of how the lot survives.

Virtually all periodicals of this era are somewhat scarce today as loose complete issues. Like most random survivals of old periodical printing, any specific example (like this one) is likely among a relative handful still extant. As each decade goes back from 1970, the rate of scarcity for any specific magazine or paper item increases noticeably.

Text block remains overall clean, and displays a pleasing age patina.

Magazines remains attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.

Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this antique lot survives. This lot is not new- it is old and has been handled by different owners in the past.

Magazines Measure c. 11" H x 8 1/2" W.
