Nice early map of the U.S. which shows just 24 states and vast Oregon and Missouri Territories as well as an early Arkansas Territory.

Texas is named but still owned and encompassed by Mexico. The area north of Sir Francis Bay (San Francisco) is empty and labeled “Unexplored Region”. Off the coast of modern day California (prior to statehood here) are seen two whaling ships.

Overall clean, short split at base of centerfold, couple small age spots, nice example. Back of the map sheet has extensive early childhood pencil scribbling and line markings (appears to be erasable if desired).

Sheet size c. 17 1/2” x 11”.
