Scarce early Irving title/

Period 1/2 leather binding, raised and gilt bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting red leather label, compartments decoratively stamped in blind, marbled covers and end papers. Early owners signature at top of half-title.

Leather remains supple, covers rubbed but attractive, contents square and tight, minor scattered foxing, overall well preserved.

Book remains well preserved and very attractive on the shelf. It displays a beautiful age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
