Published 1876, New York by Glen Cove Corn Starch Manufacturing Company.
16 pages, 4 pp. ads. Text in English. Period advertising at front and rear.
Charming 19th century food company promotional given away at the 1876 Centennial Exposition to atendees who cared to acquire one and keep it. Like most free items of the 19th century, the survival rate for any specific one is miniscule compared to the production. Centrfold is a double page view of the company plant and grounds.
Publisher's color -lithographed paper wrappers promotional pamphlet with an extra/ supplemental loose insert /hand-bill from the same company (likely at the same time/ place as the booklet since they are close in appearance and typesetting, etc.). Rear cover depicts what appear to be two (fronts and backs) first prize gold medals awarded to the company by the Franklin Institute.
Rare little booklet is approaching 150 years old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding gently age worn, slightly rubbed with trivial light old staining at top right corner, remains overall exceptionally clean and attractive as a paper survival.
Text block paper is gently toned, overall internally still clean, well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
