Period full grained leather binding, gilt bands, title on contrasting black leather band, compartments gilt decorated, cover gilt ruled in key pattern, all edges gilt and turn ins gilt. Marbled end papers. Staining to lower portion, spine leather crackled, joints dried and scuffed, covers still held firmly and remain well attached. Book is sound.
The age flaws are easy to overlook or forgive.
Some weakening of front hinge, but binding remains clean, tight, and sound. Interior contents clean and bright, with minimal spotting or foxing throughout.
Book measures: 7" H X 4 1/4" W.
