Early 19th century engraved map with attractive original hand color.

The apocryphal mountains of the moon are shown within the African interior as a Nile river source. Title within a scroll frame at lower right.

Remains a nice looking example with a pleasing age patina. Any age flaws mostly minor and easy to overlook or forgive.

Original fold lines as issued, lower right blank margin uneven as issued to facilitate the map being folded.
