Charming mid 17th century copper-engraved birds-eye view of this South American harbor.
Nicely detailed, with numerous sailing ships, as well as buildings and individual people on shore.
Engraving includes the original text leaf, which is a key sheet. This key sheet specifically identifies each of the features seen in the view, which are marked with tiny letters.
In near VG to VG, mostly clean condition.
Some light toning, left blank margin trimmed narrow, otherwise sheet remains clean and well-preserved overall.
Sheet measures c. 9 1/8" W x 7 1/8" H
