Elusive mid 19th century wax engraved (cerographic) city map with lovely hand color. Appeared within a rare gazetteer, text on reverse as always.  Lettered key identifies eight major locations which includes the harbor master, telegraph office, marine hospital and the jail.

Remains a nice looking example with a pleasing age patina. Any age flaws mostly minor and easy to overlook or forgive.
