Issued 1749, London, possibly by Senex.

Mid 18th century engraved map with attractive hand color.

A vast portion of the south is "Country of the Cafre" which has a long mountain chain "called the Backbone of the Earth".

Remains a nice looking example with a pleasing age patina. Any age flaws mostly minor and easy to overlook or forgive.
